9 Filbert Grove Hartley Wintney Hook Hampshire RG27 8ZQ

1. Beech Hedge - trimmed to c.3m in height and maintained at this height. There is a Beech hedge adjacent to my property that has been allowed to grow to a height which is restricting the light onto my property and significantly overhanging my boundary. The hedge was never intended to be trees (c.27 beech trees in less than 8m) and at one stage was cut to c.8 foot. Since then it has been allowed to grow and if it continues will cause significant issues with our property. The trees/hedge are approximately 6 metres tall. The hedge is on a strip of land that is owned by Barratts Development PLC. The hedge is between my house (9 Filbert Grove) and Treen House. It is <1m from my fence boundary.

Birch 1 - Rear corner of property. Reduce and reshape as managed previously, reducing to suitable laterals my no more that 2 metres leaving canopy spread of approximately 3.5-4 metres. Thin remaining canopy by 20%. To maintain canopy in a manner which appears good aesthetically, whilst mitigating development of excessive size in relation to the trees location. Birch 2 - Rear boundary of property. This tree is dying with seriously greying with disfigured growths on the trunk (with very limited signs of flowering at all) and is causing a decaying and growing spread on the ground surface of approximately 12 square metres. Remove to ground level to prevent further damage to surface and surrounding area. Replant with appropriate species circa 3.5-4 metres to the left of original position. Lime tree - Roadside within property boundary. Re pollard as carried out previosly to continue management of canopy inline with existing strategy. Birch 3 - Front boundary of property. The underground roots are spreading which are starting to cause damage to both the driveway and eventually the footpath. The tree itself is disfigured and irregular in shaoe therefore remove to ground level to prevent further damage and to also increase light into property but also to replant with appropriate species within 1 metre of original position.
