Grimston Cricket Club Lynn Road Grimston Norfolk
Description: An over- mature oak - 2/TPO/00092 Recommendations: To alleviate the stress on the union where the split occurs it is recommended to carry out a 3.0m canopy reduction (photo 1) to retain approximately 15m of branch structure throughout the canopy. It is recommended to lift the canopy through branch reduction to the branches that extend south west, south and south east to 2.5m above ground level. Clearance will mainly be achieved by pruning small twigs with 3 branches requiring pruning that have a diameter of between approximately 50mm and 70mm. The remaining branch spread will be 12.0m (photo 3). All work will be completed by a suitably qualified tree surgeon working to BS 3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations guidance. Final pruning cuts will be distal to the parent limb and not beyond the branch collar. No work will be carried out when the tree is going through periods of high energy output, that is, bud burst and leaf fall (spring and autumn).
