TW/20/0093/TPO | Work to Trees (TPO)

3 Chyngton Lane Seaford East Sussex BN25 4BP

The copy of the relevant Tree Preservation Order (No.58) 1998 in my possession refers to a group G5 but does not identify individual trees. Therefore, in the accompanying sketch plan the individual tree labels are my own choice. All trees shown are holm oak. Tree T2X is the tree that was felled in 2011 due to it being diseased, leaving only its stump. I refer to the email correspondence of 2011 between Daniel Wynn (Trees and Landscape Officer) and tree surgeon Matthew Stuart of Tree Care At Bonny's Wood in relation to tree T2X. Tree T2R was planted as the replacement for T2X. Since 2011, there has been re-growth from the stump of T2X. This re-growth has now reached the stage where it is crowding the growth of T2R, is growing sideways through the metal railings indicated on the sketch, is obstructing access for emptying the mail box, and will in due course, if left unchecked, obstruct access between T2X and the garage and also obstruct vehicles passing along Chyngton Lane. Much of the re-growth is spreading sideways as many of the new branches arch over. The proposal under this application for tree works is to remove the re-growth from the stump of T2X. Permission is also sought to remove future re-growth from the same stump.
