Construction of an on-line flood storage reservoir to create an upstream storage area on the Cocker Beck to provide flood protection to the village of Lowdham, including; the removal of material and re-profiling of land and construction of an associated embankment that will contain a flow control structure in the form of an engineered conduit; diversion of the Cocker Beck for approximately 670m and a diversion of the tributary to the north for approximately 250m; a number of additional elements including; the realignment of two Public Rights of Way, formation of new vehicular access to Lambley Road, residential/farm access track realignment, environmental mitigation works and landscaping.
