x2 Ash trees within G7: T1 Ash rear of 21 Meadow Drive; Fell. Reason; tree has already lost a limb. It has stem rot at crown break which could lead to further limb failure. T2 Ash rear of 19 Meadow Drive; Pollard, in line with reduction carried out on branches overhanging adjacent dwellings. Reason; to prevent future branch failure.

T1 (TPO T15) Elm - Remove small branch (5cm dia) west at 3m and first lower limb (20cm dia) north at 4m, cutting back to main stem to maintain clearance from new dwelling. T2 Ash (TPO G7) - Remove trunk suckers up to 3m to clean stem. Lift canopy up to 6m overhanging new garage, cutting back to viable secondary growth points to maintain clearance. T5 Ash (TPO G7) - Reduce height by 2m, to leave 14m and reduce lateral limb overhanging neighbouring property south west by 5m, cutting back to viable, secondary growth points. Clean out to remove major deadwood (>50mm) and truncated branches. T9 (TPO G7) Ash - Remove branch at 11m extending north east over new dwelling, cutting back to main stem, to maintain clearance. T11 (TPO G7) Ash - Fell. Kretschmaria deusta present and associated decay to main stem significant. Suspected ash dieback. Historic limb failure, cavities and large sections of major deadwood. Due to proximity of adjacent tree population and proposed new landscaping associated with development site request to waive condition to replace ash tree (T11) proposed for removal.

T1 Ash - Extensive basal/stem decay progressing into main structural limbs of tree due to presence of fungi Inonotus hispidus. Due to proximity of highway and footpaths propose to pollard this tree with a height reduction to 7.5m and radial limbs 2.5m radius from centre T2 Ash - Due to proximity of highway, (2m) public footpaths (0.5m) and dwelling (4.5m), proposal to reduce crown to 15m high and to reshape spread to 3m from centre

T1 = Large mature Sycamore approx. 14m high. This tree is a worry to the owner as there is a cavity at the base indicating rot in the trunk and root system. The tree is also forked at chest height and has signs of decay into the fork itself. There are some minor signs of fungus to the left of the base which all indicates a weakening of the juncture. Given its proximity to the dwelling the owner wishes to apply permission to reduce the canopy by 2.5m as shown in the enclosed photos to suitable secondary growth points, with the aim of reducing the sail effect and movement at the forked junction. Reducing overall height of the tree to 11m. T2 = Large Mature Sycamore approx. 14m as above, reduce canopy by 2.5m-3m to secondary crown, in line with T1 reducing sail effect. Reducing the overall height of the tree to 11m.

Regards to previous application DM/0381/19/TPO: Ash tree T1, T2, T3 including Sycamore; re-pollard T4 Beech; Remove lowest branch over hanging public footpath Beech (not covered by TPO but covered by C/A); Remove 4 lowest branches over garden Reasons: concerns over the condition of the Ash trees in regards to proximity to dwelling.

Monterey Cypress T1: remove raised planter around Cypress tree and remove all roots of 3cm diameter and less. Remove roots under block paving that have a diameter of 3cm or less. Reason: displacement of block paving due to root and damage to raised planter around base of tree and as a consequence of planter being removed and soil level being returned to original level, see photo. T2 and T3 Silver Birch: reduce canopy encroachment over dwelling to create clearance of 3ft T6 Beech: reduce canopy encroachment over dwelling and adjacent property to create clearance of 3ft from house and encroachment over adjacent garden. T4 Birch: reduce the overhang to the public path, cutting back to the boundary wall. Reason: general tree management, encroachment over dwelling and highway.

Cedar tree, situated on adjacent vacant plot; reduce canopy encroachment to a point 0.5m beyond fence line. lift canopy on property side to a point level with my upstairs window sill. Chestnut tree, on front boundary: reduce canopy spread to 3m from centre of the tree. Lift canopy to height of hedgerow. Remove lower branches in poor condition. Reason: manage canopy encroachment over dwelling and improve daylight access.

Sycamore tree T62: reduce canopy encroachment back from dwelling by 3ft. Reason: management of canopy encroachment over dwelling and roof.

Pine tree; reduce height to 15m and reduce canopy spread to 3m radius. Reason; concern over size of trees and proximity to dwelling.

x5 Sycamore trees; cut canopy back to a point 9m from the Dwelling, reduce height to 10m, in line with height of dwelling Reason: excessive shading.
