Screening Opinion request to determine as to whether proposed development is EIA development. Development proposed is for a change of use to a use involving the processing of lithium batteries with the following operation development; installation of a new building to house part of the screener deck, hopper box and bag station; installation of associated diesel generators, as shown on the accompanying plans; installation of a number of additional non-permanent or permanent industrial storage buildings; the retention of four non-permanent industrial storage buildings; the retention of alterations and extensions made to an existing building to provide additional storage and office space; the continued siting of three shipping containers which serve as a staff locker room, staff toilets and a secure quarantine area; the retention of one portacabin and caravan which are used together for security and reception for the site; the retention of a 100,000 litre drainage water tank which serves as an overflow and temporary storage for the site drainage system; and the retention and extension of the associated palisade security fencing around the site.
