Retrospective: Installation of Gabion Baskey Wall, Timber Decking, Fencing and Landscaping Works

New hard landscaping including alterations to change timber deck to stone upper and lower patio. Timber fence to be replaced with metal post and wire rail to match neighboring property. Steps to be amended to connect upper and lower patio. (Amended 17.05.2023)

Visitor access improvements with partial change of use of farmhouse (ground floor) to accommodate new staff workshop and change of use of stables workshop (within Birthplace) to create visitor display area. New garden storage container. Alterations including widening and surfacing to existing pathways, with re-grading of levels to accommodate improvements and some footpath reconfiguration. Hard and soft landscaping works, fencing and removal of trees/shrubs. Creation of new pedestrian route from existing car park with surfacing improvements. Alterations to cobbled farmyard to Birthplace including new surfacing, modification of attached wall to accommodate widened footpath and infilling of opening in sandstone wall between farmyard and garden.

Side extension, garage conversion with 1st-floor rear addition, alterations to existing porch, changes to materials, new fences, new gate and associated landscaping

Internal and external alterations including: Removal of later dilapidated single storey extension to South East corner; removal of modern conservatory; removal of most modern casement type windows to be replaced with new sash windows; adjustment of existing opening between house and conservatory (to be removed); adjustment in shape of pitched roof to Southern range; formation of internal door opening between existing kitchen and existing entrance hallway; removal of internal walls forming existing cloakroom/wc; removal of internal wall between two existing bedrooms; new build extension to listed Fort House; new build residential ancillary block containing leisure and home working facilities and guest suite; new build garage; removal of two existing garages/large sheds; removal of a tennis court and surrounding fence; general landscaping works; conservation repairs to Water Tower, boundary wall and store/old Gaol; new external steps and glazed enclosure to mid level of Water tower to provide interpretation facilities for the historic Battery and Fort Site
