Demolition of outbuilding, proposed construction of summerhouse including swimming pool, extension to garage to be used as a storage area and associated tree works

T.1 Willow (dead) (red dot) - Remove lateral branches and retain as monolith. T.2 Maple (not Beech) (yellow dot), leaning over garage - Reduce & reshape by 1-2m. T.3 Willow (green dot), roadside - Raise crown to 5m above ground level (agl) & clear street light by 1.5m. T.4 Poplar (blue dot), roadside - Raise crown to 5m agl.

T.1 Oak - Reduce & reshape extended, lateral branches overhanging the garage & drive only, to suitable secondary growing points, in line with boundary wall wherever possible. Retain smaller low lateral branch growing towards front right corner of house, as discussed and agreed on site.

T.1 Norway Maple - Reduce and reshape crown by between 2/3m to previous reduction points and T. 2 Lime - Remove low lateral branches to main stem overhanging garage, as discussed and directed on site.

Fell 2 trees out of the 9 shown on plan with remainder to be retained, subject trees being T.4 Silver Birch - Remove, outgrown its site and of limited amenity value. T.8 Cotoneaster - Remove, poorly developed appearance and canopy providing low amenity value. In addition, the following works to trees to be retained and pruned: T.5 - Lime - Create pollard, outgrown its site, considerable over shading and within close proximity of building (within 5 metres). T.3 - Silver Birch - Thin crown throughout by approximately 20% removing dominant duplicate stems where reasonable & appropriate, reducing back to suitable secondary growing points in each case, to avoid rapid regrowth, and reduce extended branches growing towards the garage by approximately 2m, again reducing back to suitable secondary growing points and clean out crown.

T.1 Yew - Reduce height by 1.5m and trim all new growth to retain prior shape, prune back branches encroaching on garage to provide 0.5m clearance. T.2 Yew hedge - Trim new growth to maintain hedge (Not protected by growing with the Longthorpe Conservation Area).
