AMENDED SPECIFICATION SEE CONDITION 2 G1 is a group of three Beech trees that have a communal or co-joined crown. The crowns are biased to the Southeast with the crown being lower to the ground at this point than on the West. The Western stem has bark damage from ground level to 2m with the wound slowly occluding. It has tight secondary scaffolds that are rubbing at approximately 8m. The southern stem has lost a secondary stem to the east of the stem at 1.5m, reactive growth to the northeast is visible and the lip of the pruning point is producing wound wood in an effort to occlude. Decay is localised and penetration is limited in areas around the surface. The Northern stem has tight rubbing stems centrally in the crown at 8, in two visible locations. The lateral secondary and tertiary branches to west have recently failed and appears to be squirrel damage. One of these failures is currently hooked up on the crown over the garden. It is recommended that the crown be reduced by 2m and lifted to 5m to leave a balanced crown of 5m from the centre of the group. The surgery may require less in some areas to be removed and slightly more in others. the important thing is to leave a balance crown. The reason for the work is to prevent further branch failures and to reduce the wind loading that is causing the stems to rub and branches to fail. It is also to counter the decay point in the stem (though this is negligible) overall it is for safety and to prevent further branch failures.

T1. Oak. Reduce the height by 1m and the lateral spread by 1.5m. Prune out any rubbing and crossing branches. T2. Beech. Reduce the height by 0.75m and the lateral spread by 1m. Prune out any rubbing and crossing branches. T3. Oak. Re-pollard at the original pollard points due to the proximity to two houses.

AMENDED SPECIFICATION SEE CONDITION 2 : T1: Pine: Action= Fell: Reason= No retention value. Leaning is over pronounced. T2: Beech: Action= Reduce height by 2 M . Reduce laterals by 2M : Reason= containment of over-large tree in position by home.

AMENDED SPECIFICATION SEE CONDITION 2 T1 and T2 Sweet Chestnut Actions: Crown reduction of 2-3m back to previous points Thin out crown by 15-20% Remove trunk suckers. Reasons: To allow more light into garden, and reduce domineering effect of the two trees.
