Fell the large Ash tree T1 that is suffering from Ash die back and is situated very close to the property. The owner of the tree has noticed a 50% reduction in crown density over the last 2 years with multiple large limbs dropping with visible cankers and lesions visible from the ground level. The tree is within 8m of the property and leaning heavily toward the property with branches growing toward the property, the home owner is very worried about safety of their family. Two large limbs have snapped and currently resting on other limbs making it unsafe for the children to play in the garden. The property has lots of Oak, Beech and Cherry trees and replanting a young healthy tree would be in the interest of our client. All work will be BS3998 compliant.

T1 Tulip - Crown lift to 5m by removing secondary sub laterals and clear phone wire. To manage trees crown within proximity to surroundings. T2 Sycamore - To crown reduce Sycamore adjacent to the house, to the previous points. To manage trees crown within proximity to surroundings.

This application is for the reduction of 2 trees, one Oak and one Ash tree. The trees are situated in the rear garden of The Vicarage, Woodland way but overhang the garden of Warren House causing significant shading to the property and garden and damaging the grass making it very difficult to use the back garden and enjoy the grass area. Our client likes the trees and would like to reduce the Oak tree T1 by 1.5m to create a well shaped and balanced crown and thin the canopy by 15% to allow more dappled light into the garden and property. The Ash tree T2 is causing the same problem as the Oak tree T1 and we would like to reduce by 1.5-2m all round back to healthy growth points to allow more light and less debris dropping into Warren House garden. All work will be compliant with BS3998 standards.

Group of 5 mature trees on the boundary of 7 Kenneth Road with public footpath, comprising four Common Beech (T1 to T4) and one Field Maple (T5) as shown in the site plan. Specification is a 1.5 metre reduction in height of the group, with similar shortening-in of side growth away from the house and over garden. Prune back T1 and T2 Beech branches currently close to house guttering/roof to ensure clearance of 2 metres. Prune back T5 Maple branches currently touching the garden room roof to ensure clearance of 2 metres. In addition, prune back T1 and T2 Beech branches currently touching neighbour's (26 Cunningham Road) garage roof to ensure clearance of 2 metres.

G1 - Hazel, Holm Oak, YewPrune lateral growth back to 0.5 metres behind driveway edge. T2 - Cedar Reduce length of all branches by 1 metre ensuring natural shape and balance typical of species is maintained where possible. G3 - Holly, Laurel Lift to 2.5 metres over garden and prune back from house side by up to 1 metre. Lift over public footpath to 2.5 metres from ground level. T4 - Cedar Reduce low canopy over garden and neighbours garden back by 2 metres in branch length. Reduce section of upper crown over rear of house back by 1.5 metres.

Tree specimens are Sycamores forming 15m high boundary between the properties 3 Old School Mews and Longmeadow. Sycamores to be reduced by 5m, overhanging branches to be cut back. The trees were previously reduced in height in 2020 and now needs work to maintain a manageable border of trees and improve light into house and garden and decrease damp risk in garages.

Beech (rear garden LHS) - Reduce the lateral spread of the Northern canopy (towards house) by up to 2m, back to previous points of reduction, blending into existing upper canopy. Crown lift to provide 6m clearance from ground level. Remove all major deadwood over 25mm diameter.2m lateral reduction N canopy only. Pre works 23x19m, Post works 23x17m. Oak (rear garden LHS) - Crown Lift to provide 5m clearance from ground level by removing the established epicormic growth from the trunk, up to the main crown break union. Crown lift by removing established epicormic. No change in canopy dimensions. Scots Pine (rear garden RHS) - Remove split and hanging branch from canopy. Tidy up any additional damaged branches and remove all major deadwood over 25mm diameter. Use lowering blocks and lines as appropriate to enable a controlled descent. Removal of split and hanging limb. 5 day notice will suffice. Beech (rear garden RHS) - Reduce the lower lateral spread of the tree by up to 3.5m, to fall in-line with the existing upper canopy. Remove all major deadwood over 25mm diameter. Lower lateral reduction to balance and verbal canopy. Pre works 25x18.5m, post works 25x15m. Beech (rear garden RHS, closest house) Reduce the height/length of the protruding branches in the upper North-West canopy by no more than 2.5m, to fall in-line with the remaining upper canopy. Reduce lateral spread of the North and East canopy extents by up to 3m, blending into remaining existing canopy. Crown lift to provide 6m ground clearance from ground level. Remove all major deadwood over 25mm diameter. 3m lateral reduction N/NE canopy only. 2.5m reduction of selective protruding branch(es) in upper NW canopy to balance crown. Pre works 30x18.5m, post works 30x15.5m

Oak tree - Shorten the longest lateral branches on the house side of the tree by a maximum of 1.5m. Crown lift by removal if drooping secondary branches only.
