18 Tower Road Tadworth Surrey KT20 5QY

The tree is a Copper Beech situated in the small communal garden at the front of the block of flat known as 18 Tower Road. The LPA already has clear details of location of the tree - TPO RE458. The tree is approximately 9m high and its branches are growing above the height of the block of flats which results in twigs and leaves falling onto the roof of the building which in turn causes problems with the roof and blocked gutters. The branches also provide rodents and squirrels with potential access to the roof and the building. The branches growing towards the building are now touching the building, blocking out light, and blocking gutters with leaves and twigs. The branches also provide potential access to the building to rodents and squirrels. The branches growing towards the public highway are now growing beyond the property boundary and over the public footpath. The tree is realistically only visible to a maximum of 5 - 7 households and as Tower Road is a quiet suburban road it viewed by very little highway traffic. Proposed works:- 1. Reduce the height of the tree by 2 m so that it is no higher than the beginning of the roof of the building; 2. Cut back the branches growing towards the building by 60 cms; and 3. Cut back the branches growing over the public highway so that they do not extend beyond the hedge bordering the property.

Metalus The Chase Kingswood Tadworth Surrey KT20 6HY

T1 - Cypress - Safely section fell to the ground and remove. Replant 1no replacement tree of the councils recommendation on the boundary. Reason - This tree is extremely large. It is blocking a lot of light to my property and is too near to the house. I don't want future issues with root damage to the foundations or the possibility of causing roof damage during a storm. It's not a good specimen tree and is non native tree. Its amenity value is low as the horse chestnut tree blocks the view of the Cypress from the road.
