The proposed works include the renovation of a garage into habitable living space, a thin side infill extension at the rear of the property alongside the garage. The proposal includes the rendering and cladding with brick slips the front facade into one homogeneous whole. As amended on 15/08/2023.

Internal renovation and removal of internal walls to create a more open plan layout. Removal of front aspect long sloping roof and introduction of a traditional gable end. Joining of garage to main house and creation of a hip to gable roof. New timber cladding to front and side elevations. Introduction of dormer windows to second floor front elevation and roof lights to rear elevation. General landscaping and excavations to create a new sunken patio to the rear of the property. Porch renovation - replacing the existing flat roof with a sloped roof and replacing the metal column (which supports the roof on one side) with a wooden column. The highest part of the sloped roof would be c.1.2m higher than the existing flat roof. The porch roof tiles would match the existing house roof tiles. The porch area, which is approximately 5.3 m2, would not change.

Renovation of existing conservatory into full extension

Demolition of existing rear two-storey extension and conservatory and replacement with new part-two storey, part-single storey rear extension, internal alterations and renovation, new front ground-floor windows, new front door within existing opening, new rear patio and fence to west boundary.
