T1 Horse Chestnut, Action - Reduce tree structure to a smaller dimension. 2-3m lateral reduction, 5-6m height reduction. Thin out centre. Produce new tree form. Reason - Turn tree into a much smaller manageable form, for long term retention with a re-pollarding regime carried out every 3 years. This will bring a feature tree into line with the historic pollard trees along the driveway, that the property already embraces. This will ensure residents of High Beeches, existing and future, will continue to enjoy a tree within its boundary that fits into a more living at home lifestyle.

Submission of boundary treatment details pursuant to condition 8 of permission 20/02195/F. Demolition of existing building and erection of a single, two-storey dwelling house with attached garage plus associated hard and soft landscaping. As amended on 09/11/2021.

Rear Garden - Adjacent to North Boundary. Pine: Leaning, fell as close to ground level as possible. T1 is leaning and needs to be removed. Pine: Remove 4 low branches to the east side, remove dead and diseased wood, the branches are leaning onto the conservatory and will cause damage if they are not removed. Beech x2 & Pine - 6737, Cut back to a vertical line 2.5 metres from the edge of the property. Both T4 and T5 are too large for the space and are causing unacceptable amounts of shade. Pine - 6788, Leaning over chimney. Fell as close to ground level as possible. T6 needs to be removed to abate any further moss and damp on/ within the house.

T3 Lime tree - Fell because of proximity to the house excess shading in a a very small garden. The intention is to replant with a suitable tree adjacent to the rear boundary. SEE INFORMATIVE FOR FURTHER ADVICE

Front Boundary between Prinstead and Oldfield House (From Building to Roadside) G1 - Mixed Species Reduce and reshape Norway Maple by up to 3 metres in crown width and height. Cut back lateral growth on Cypress and Eucalyptus (not protected by Tree Preservation Order) on Oldfield House side, back to boundary to reduce overhang to parking area. The subject tree, Norway Maple, requires pruning as specified, in order to maintain at a size appropriate to its location and to abate the nuisance to the occupiers at Oldfield House. The specified works will not reduce the amenity value of the tree.

RE1347- Reduce Silver Birch growing next to the house by 1.5 meters all round. The tree is overhanging the conservatory and has been dropping branches on the building below. The tree has never been worked on and needs some routine maintenance to retain its amenity value and health. Reduce Silver Birch on main lawn by 3 meters to maintain the structural integrity of the branches. The tree has become very leggy and branches could start snapping out if left. Section fell large ash tree overhanging the junction of woodland way and sandy lane. The tree has ash die back on one whole side and has been dropping some sizable limbs onto the road over the last few months. Due to its location and the fact it has die back I fell its unsafe to retain the tree. BAN33 - Reduce Cherry Tree in rear garden on boundary by 1 meter back to old growth points as part of routine maintenance on the tree.

T1 - Cypress - Safely section fell to the ground and remove. Replant 1no replacement tree of the councils recommendation on the boundary. Reason - This tree is extremely large. It is blocking a lot of light to my property and is too near to the house. I don't want future issues with root damage to the foundations or the possibility of causing roof damage during a storm. It's not a good specimen tree and is non native tree. Its amenity value is low as the horse chestnut tree blocks the view of the Cypress from the road.
