T1,2,4,5: Holly Trees: Reform into formal conical shape by 0.5m reduction, to produce architectural form. T3: Holly: Fell, to leave even spacing between retained trees.

This application is for the reduction of 2 trees, one Oak and one Ash tree. The trees are situated in the rear garden of The Vicarage, Woodland way but overhang the garden of Warren House causing significant shading to the property and garden and damaging the grass making it very difficult to use the back garden and enjoy the grass area. Our client likes the trees and would like to reduce the Oak tree T1 by 1.5m to create a well shaped and balanced crown and thin the canopy by 15% to allow more dappled light into the garden and property. The Ash tree T2 is causing the same problem as the Oak tree T1 and we would like to reduce by 1.5-2m all round back to healthy growth points to allow more light and less debris dropping into Warren House garden. All work will be compliant with BS3998 standards.

T1 Lawson Cypress: Fell to ground level T2 Douglas Fir: Fell to ground level Reasons: Due to subsidence, trees not yet fully mature, trees are conical, and pruning would not be suitable for pruning. Trees will be replaced with heavy standard 14/16 cm girth trees (standard specimens Species to be approved) to mitigate the loss of the trees and planted nearer to the roadside (10m away from the property)

4. Leyland Cypress rear garden LHS - Carefully climb and dismantle to as close to ground level as possible 18x7m - Poor specimen, crown bias to the south. Works to allow light to rear of property

T1 - Beech Tree is in early stages of decline. Noticeable thinning (as shown in additional photographs) of leaf cover and leaf size on 2/3 of the tree. Very little/no evidence of extension growth this season. Entire tree as viewed from ground level up into the canopy is extremely sparse. (please see attached photographs) NO scope for any water penetration from root spread. Completely tarmacked over. Requesting permission to fell to ground level.

G1 - Leylandii x 3 and Self Set Sycamore Reduce height of 3 x Leylandii by approximately 3 metres in height and cut back from neighbouring garden, rear of back boundary, as near to boundary line as possible, whilst retaining healthy growth. Fell to ground level and poison 1 x self set Sycamore adjacent to the rear boundary fence. The trees are located in the rear garden to the right hand side adjacent to the rear boundary Reduction of the Leylandii to reduce the sail effect of the upper crowns To reduce the trees to a more suitable size for their location To allow more suitable light levels in to the neigbouring property to the rear of the rear boundary Felling of the self set Sycamore as this is an undesirable species for its location with no amenity value

T1 - Oak = reduce crown by approx. 2m over crown , thin crown by 20% , tree has been reduced previously and would like to keep the crown managed and lighten area around property. t2 Oak = remove major dead and diseased wood only.

T1 TPO Cedar -? Sympathetic crown reduction of up to 5m in all dimensions to mechanically stabilise and reduce wind loading on large limbs. The tree has a history of failure at multiple points within the crown and is directly over property and infrastructure making it a high target area.

T38 Horse Chestnut - fell to ground to enable the full use of the garden area as the tree is unreasonably large and close to the house - replace with 12inch-14inch girth standard Koelreuteria paniculata.

T1 - Laurel Fell to ground level and grind out stump. The Laurel is located in the rear garden to the left hand side in conflict with the boundary fence. The Laurel is damaging the boundary fence with a large amount of the crown within the neighbouring property of 31 Cotland Acres The tree is an undesirable species for its location. Removal to allow for repairs to the boundary fence. G2 - Holly x 2 & T3 - Holly. Fell to ground level and grind out stumps. G2 is located in the central area of the garden and T3 is located near the rear boundary to the left hand side. One of the trees of G2 is heavily Ivy Clad which has limit the extent of growth of the Holly. The trees of G2 and T3 have outgrown their surroundings due to the size of the garden. The garden has become unusable due to the continuous leaf fall. Removal to allow suitable use of the garden and to allow more suitable light levels in to the property and neighbouring properties. The resident is willing to replant with 1 or 2 more suitable species
