The proposal is to convert the existing empty loft space above the studio annex at Valley lodge into a new bedroom, bathroom and office/dressing space for the existing occupant. The loft currently has sufficient head height for conversion; however as part of the work the applicant wishes to construct a front and rear dormer with new timber cladding (fire rated) matching that of the existing. To the rear the dormer will have a new frosted window of white upvc. To the front the door will be of grey aluminium to match that of the entrance door. The dormers will have a flat cold layer felt roof. To the side elevation an new vellum roof light will be created for the dressing room to provide additional light.
