This application is for a full crown reduction of 3 Beech trees situated on the boundary line of 1 Harrendon. The trees are currently overhanging 3 Harrendon and have previously been reduced all round to allow more light into the properties and keep the lateral limbs away from both properties. The Beech trees have grown into 1 crown and a reduction of 1.5-2m on the lateral limbs and 1m in height to create 1 overall well shaped and balanced crown. On the other side of the garden are 2 Sweet Chestnut trees which are growing toward the house and hanging substantially over the garden. We would like to reduce these lateral limbs by 1.5-2m to create less shading in the garden and around the properties.

Front garden-RHS. G1-4x Limes. Repollard to previous points by removal of up to approximately 2 metres of the branch length. Remove basal and epicormic growth. Remove basal stem from 1x Lime nearest garage. The trees are located in the front garden to the front boundary. Repollarding works are part of a maintenance program to maintain the trees at a suitable size for their location. To reduce the risk of branch failure of secondary growth from previous pollarding works. To reduce the conflict with phone lines. To reduce the extent of the encroachment from the garage, driveway and adjacent highway. To allow more suitable light levels into the whole area. Rear garden- Rear of house. T3-Rose & Forsythia. Prune round to shape and tidy. Front garden-LHS. T4-Yew. Reduce length of all branches by up to 0.5-1 metre ensuring natural shape and balance typical of species is maintained where possible. Prune to clear phone cables. Remove basal and epicomic growth. The tree is located in the front garden to the LHS. T1. Mixed species-Reduce encroachment over road to boundary line up to Cypress hedge. Remove self-set Sycamore from behind garage.Various species ranging from 6-8 metres tall. Approx. 1 metre to be removed. Works to allow light to adjacent road to prevent moss on the tarmac T2. Cypress hedge-Reduce height of hedge by up to 2 metres to previous points and trim both sides 7-metre-tall hedge down to 5 metres tall T3. Lime x 2 - Remove major deadwood greater than 20mm diameter and raise crown to provide 6 metres clearance from ground level 18x12m trees works to clear garage roof and lift over road T5. Mixed species - Reduce / trim all over to previous points (all to be varied in height) and remove dead trees from within Various ranging from 7-9 metres tall. Works to maintain size due to location on top of wall T10. Hornbeam x 2 and Beech - Crown Reduction. Reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 2 metres. All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected regrowth 18x12 down to 16x10m to allow light into the garden T11. Dead Elms - Fell to as close to ground level as possible 6m tall dead Tree T13. Apple - Prune by up to 2 metres 7x6m down to 5x4m pruning / maintenance works T14. Mixed species rear boundary-Reduce encroachment towards garden by up to 1 metre 8x7m down to 8x6m encroaching on house.

Beech (T14) - Tree is located on rear boundary of Divots, 21 Massetts Road, Horley RH6 7DF. The south eastern aspect of the crown is overhanging and encroaching on the building at Wykeham House Care Home. Lateral limbs from crown on south eastern aspect to be pruned back by a maximum of 2 metres, leaving a finished spread on south eastern aspect of 6 metres.

T3 Laurel group rear LHS Remove Elder and dead stem within and shape to tidy by removing up to half a metre in height 4x1m and reduce laurel group 4x1.5m down to 3.5x1m. to allow light in to rear of property. T4 Sycamore rear garden Crown Lift to provide 5 metres clearance from ground level 18x9m tree. To allow light into garden and open up view from the house. T5 Yews and Hazel rear garden LHS Reduce encroachment towards boundary line by up to 2 metres. Yew behind shed reduce encroachment to edge of shed and shape also approximately 2 metre off 7x5m down to 7x3m To allow light on to bed beneath and open up view of the whole garden from the house. T6 Silver Birch Crown Lift to provide 5 metres clearance from ground level 14x8m tree, To open up view from the house. T7 Hawthorn and plum Crown Reduction - Reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 1 metre. All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected regrowth 4x4m down to 3x3m Growing close to listed wall, works to prevent further repairs to wall. T8 Apple Crown Reduction - Reducing the height of the tree by up to 1 metres and lateral spread by 2 metres. All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected regrowth 5x6m down to 4x4m Growing close to listed wall, works to prevent further repairs to wall.

T1 Lime- Remove epicormic growth and reduce lateral branches by 1.5m on 45 Wray Park Roads boundary. Tree is in close proximity to house and causes excessive shading to that area.

Silver Birch (T1) - To reduce mature neighbouring Silver Birch located along the rear boundary, back to previous reduction points (boundary line) up to a height of 6.0m. The remaining branches above this will be reduced by 2.0m to reduce the encroachment over the house. Cheery (T2) - To reduce mature neighbouring Cherry tree located along the rear boundary back to previous reduction points (back to boundary)

Rear Garden - Adjacent to North Boundary. Pine: Leaning, fell as close to ground level as possible. T1 is leaning and needs to be removed. Pine: Remove 4 low branches to the east side, remove dead and diseased wood, the branches are leaning onto the conservatory and will cause damage if they are not removed. Beech x2 & Pine - 6737, Cut back to a vertical line 2.5 metres from the edge of the property. Both T4 and T5 are too large for the space and are causing unacceptable amounts of shade. Pine - 6788, Leaning over chimney. Fell as close to ground level as possible. T6 needs to be removed to abate any further moss and damp on/ within the house.

Rear Garden 1. Back boundary row of Conifers both hedges are in different gardens - Hedge cut back the top and side as tight as possible. To maintain the hedge and reduce the shading over the gardens. Front Garden. 2. 1 x Fir Tree - Fell and stump grind. The tree has out grown the position and is very close to the house. 3. Front boundary 4 x large mature Conifer Trees - Fell to ground level. The trees have out grown the position, are very close to the house causing shading and overhang the adjoining footpath too.
