Lumley House Greens Lane Stacksteads Bacup Lancashire OL13 0JJ

The two trees in question are on our land which is to the rear of our house on Greens Lane. We own most of the wooded area in which the trees are located. The arborist has recommended that the Elm tree is removed completely due to the danger is poses to the house shown on the plan diagram. There was also some discussion about the Ash tree right next to it, that is in danger of falling and the potential damage it could cause to the road and drains. I therefore request that we remove or severely cut down the two trees in question as I do not want to be liable for any damage that they may cause.

26 Bankside Lane Bacup Lancashire OL13 8HJ

There are four trees along the right side of the wooded area. The branches are over hanging my roof (property no 26). I have the fear they will cause damage to my roof if they break. I want to cut these back to the property line so if they do break, they will fall into the woodland instead of my house. The trees are protected and I have spoken to the land owner, they are happy for them to be cut back. The four trees are all sycamores. I have spoken to the council and they have sent me the tree preservation order.

25 Alden Close Helmshore Rossendale Lancashire BB4 4AX

There are a number of trees behind our fence line which is a public footpath at the top of number 12 Sunnybank road BB4 4PF. The public footpath is total overgrown, neglected and unusable. These trees are now so overgrown they are extensively encroaching our garden over the boundary line. Once they grow leaves back in spring they will be completely over our conservatory and garden. We have spent thousands on sorting the garden out and these trees are damaging the garden and if left much longer will damage our conservatory. They are also damaging our fence which is now so damp and rotting from the trees we will have to get a whole new fence. We would like to trim back the overhanging branches so this doesn?t happen. We do not want to cut down the trees or get rid of them we just want to trim back so they are not overhanging and ruining our garden etc. we are concerned if left this may invalidate our house insurance as you should not have a tree overhanging our property. We want to reduce the crown span of the trees to provide a clearance from our property boundary.

507 Burnley Road Crawshawbooth Rossendale Lancashire BB4 8LZ

THE TREE (UNKOWN TYPE) IS IN THE MIDDLE TIER OF THE GARDEN TO 507 BURNLEY ROAD. IT IS LOCATED ON THE BORDER OF 507 AND 509 BURNLEY ROAD. THE SIZE OF THE TREE IS NOW TOWERING OVER THE HEIGHT OF THE BUILDING, AND THE HOUSE IS ON 3 STOREYS. THIS PROVIDES EXCESSIVE SHADING TO APPROXIMATELY 5 HOUSES, 3 ON BURNLEY ROAD AND 2 ON CRAWSHAW GRANGE. THE TREE TRUNK HAS BECOME THAT LARGE, THAT THE BOUNDARY FENCE BETWEEN 507 & 509 HAS BROKEN AND IS IN DANGER OF BREAKING GARDEN PROPERTY IN 509. FALLING LEAVES ARE CREATING NUMEROUS ISSUES ON MOST OF THESE PROPERTIES ALSO, MAINLY FROM SLIP HAZARDS AND CLOGGING THE GUTTERING OF SEVERAL HOUSES.

Valley Lodge 2-4 Forest Bank Forest Bank Road Crawshawbooth Rossendale Lancashire BB4 8NW

This application has been submitted based on advice from a qualified Tree surgeon. The work will be undertaken by DJB Tree Specialists ltd Tree 1 - Sycamore This tree has not been maintained since we moved into the property 18 years ago. The trunk is approximately 5-6 metres from the front of the house and I estimate it to be anything between 80-100 ft high at least. Lower branches approaching the house are approx 2 metres from the house. There has been debris in high winds that is also a hazard. The tree is healthy and in summer due to the density of branches and foliage it blocks most sunlight from our property and takes sun off the entire row of Forest Bank due to where it is located in relation to the sun. I am very concerned from an insurance perspective about the safety elements of branches falling in high winds and equally if the tree was to hit the house with its current density this would cause significant damage. My request is to reduce the overall height of the tree, the density of the tree / foliage and potentially removal of the lower branches of the crown. The advice from DJB was that it was appropriate to request a 30% reduction of the crown but in addition to that I am asking for the crown to be thinned by 30% as well. In terms of the crown reduction approx 15 - 20 ft is probably what needs to come off the height purely on safety grounds. This will make the tree much safer, less of an insurance / safety concern and will allow additional sunlight for the entire row of Forest Bank. Tree 2 - Ash This tree has again not been maintained but is not a very healthy tree with some branches getting little foliage and others none. Although we do not need permission for dead branches to be removed I wanted to include in the application for DJB to examine and remove any damaged or diseased branches as required. Wildlife is very important to us and so we want to retain some elements of any dead branches as long as they are safe. Again we apply therefore fo...

31 Hall Park Acre Rossendale Lancashire BB4 5BQ

Please see the attached map. Trees number T1 to T5 are located on 31 Hall Park, trees number T6 to T9 are located on 29 Hall Park. They are causing a number of problems for us. 1. A lot of branches have fallen and hit our roof and 2 cars. This is dangerous to our home, to our cars. It is also dangerous for us and our pets when we are walking outside the house or in the garden, we fear the branches may fall and hit us. 2. The tree canopies are causing excessive shading. Our house 31 Hall Park is cold all the time, we have to switch on the heating even in the summer. Our house is dark inside and most of the time, we have to switch on the lights even during the day. Some areas in our house is damp due to no sun gets into the house. 3. There is subsidence in the rear end of the garden, also some tree roots have lifted some flags in the rear of the garden and causing uneven ground. This is of great concern to my husband and his health, he is disabled and has difficulty in walking. He is at risk of tripping over. T1 Lime- please crown thin, crown lift and crown reduction T2 Sycamore- please crown thin, crown lift and crown reduction T3 Horse Chestnut- please fell if possible, this has a few big splits in the trunk, it is shedding barks, and closest to our house. I am in fear that this tree could fall onto our house. We would replant a Lime, however, I would request if you could kindly consider this to be waived as there is insufficient space. T4 Lime- please crown thin, crown lift and crown reduction T5 Lime- please crown thin, crown lift and crown reduction T6 - I don't know what tree this is, please crown thin, crown lift and crown reduction, (T6, T7, T8 as a group have shaded our house) T7 Sycamore- please crown thin, crown lift and crown reduction T8- I don't know what tree this is, please crown thin, crown lift and crown reduction T9 Sycamore (3-stemmed)- please crown thin, crown lift and crown reduction Most of these trees are shedding barks and may have ...

7 Barley Holme Road Crawshawbooth Rossendale Lancashire BB4 8AX

The map of the trees on our land we have been provided with is largely out of date and it is difficult to establish which tree is which as there are trees on the map that have been removed and our property is not even built on the map. I sought advice from the council who advised this is not a concern or an issue when completing this. We have sought advice from tree experts - ARB works. One tree, a sycamore (possibly T23) requires felling and removal due to a large part of trunk diseased. Removal of trees (T26, T27, T28) all sycamores due to encroaching on property and causes issues to roof and cars. Also making it a falling hazard due to falling residue on path and access to house as well as driveway. Neighbouring properties also complained of this issue. In addition, all other trees (possibly T19, T21, T22, T29) to be crown lifted by removal of epicormic growth on stems. If the removal of trees is declined, then trees (T26, T27, T28) to be crown lifted by removal of epicormic growth on stems along with the rest as well as crown lifting 2 x sycamore (possibly T28 and T29) to rear of property by removal of lower branches and over hang.
