18 Victoria Street Haslingden Rossendale Lancashire BB4 5DL
There are 8 fully mature trees around the perimeter of the garden to the front of No 18 Victoria Street. The position of the trees is looking from the entrance gate (the only way of getting into the garden) opposite the steps to no 18. All trees create excessive shading. All trees are on steep banking and not level ground. T1 = Cherry Tree - at the 11 o'clock position, this tree has a large fungus growing at its base. It is heavily leaning forward and has a number of dead and broken branches within the tree canopy. I have spoken to Tommy, Arborist from Green Acre Tree Care in Haslingden and he has suggested that this tree is rotten and dangerous and needs to be removed. I request permission for this tree to be felled. Plan is to replace with a lower growing, useful tree such as a Hazel Nut tree. T2 = Sycamore - at the 1pm position, this tree is extremely large and growing very close to the house behind. Tommy has suggested that this tree be reduced in size slightly, for example by raising the canopy. Also needs to be checked for safety and works carried out as necessary eg unsafe branches. T3 = Sycamore - at the 2 o'clock position, this tree is extremely large, request as for T2. T4 = Sycamore - at the 3 o'clock position, this tree is extremely large, request as for T2. T5 = Sycamore - at the 4 o'clock position, this tree is extremely large, request as for T2. T6 = Lime tree - at the 5 o'clock position, this tree is extremely large, request as for T2. T7 = Horse Chestnut - at the 6 o'clock position, this tree is extremely large, has a very low canopy, sometimes hampering access in and out of the garden and is very close to the house behind (no 18 Victoria Street), request as for T2. T8 = at the 8 o'clock position, this tree is extremely large, is very near to the house behind (no 20 Victoria Steet), request as for T2. As there are 8 trees and professional work is likely to be very expensive, I request that any permission is granted over an ext...
