Remove condition No. 3 on planning application PL/2019/02246/PPFL following appeal: APP/Q4625/W/20/3253001. Application to change the imposed condition 3 as detailed in the Condition schedule outlined in The Panning Inspectorate Appeal Decision (Appeal Reference: APP/Q4625/W/20/325001) Condition 3: The walling and roofing of the extension hereby permitted shall match the existing building. Have had to build the first floor extension using blocks rather than bricks with an intention to render as we were unable to create a uniform appearance to the brick work of the proposed extension with the existing property. The existing property was built in the1960s and has had previous changes to the brick work involving the previous owners using different colour and size of bricks. Also, the ground floor garage and kitchen of the existing property had been previously extended with mis-matched brick colour and size. Refer Appendix 1- Brick work. Using yet another type of brick would have exacerbated the non-uniformity of the built and affected the overall aesthetics of the newly created property, as it would potentially have consisted of 3-4 different types of brick work and brick sizes rendering the finished project unsightly. Therefore, it was deemed more appropriate to render the first floor extension to: 1. Ensure uniformity of the outward finish and appearance of the property, 2. To give a real face-lift to the property as it was built in the 1960s, 3. To bring a more contemporary look, whilst still in-keeping with the character of most of the houses on the street which are partly or fully rendered.
