Tuke School Daniel Gardens London Southwark SE15

Remodelling and extension of the existing Music room and adjacent spaces, to create a new classroom for 6-8 pupils at Tuke School. Proposals includes the addition of 17 m2, creating a new classroom totalling 89 m2. External works involve enlargement of the external play area associated to the classroom by 11.5m2, as well as creating additional external paved area for staff totalling 22.5m2. The proposed internal works involve the removal of existing partitions and the erection of a new wall to enclose the classroom from the main circulation corridor, together with the creation of a kitchenette, built in storage and a coat and store and full redecoration. Externally, the proposed new elevation is to match the existing, by using the same palette of materials and the same fenestration design, re-utilising the two existing windows and adding a new window, to the right hand side, to increase natural lighting within the space. New of PPC metal rainwater goods are to be added to either side of the extension, to drain the water collected on the new roof.
