T1: A Eucalyptus tree planted 10 years ago that is very large, growing very close to the rear of 81 and 83 Calton Avenue and structural survey has identified cracking damage to 83 Calton Ave and has suggested this is from Eucalyptus tree. T2. A Weeping Willow tree approximately 12m in height situated on the left-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden. Crown thin by approximately 30% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches, and the necessary shaping of the tree. The height may also be reduced by up to 25% by removing the vertical growth in the upper crown whilst retaining the natural weeping shape. It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

Please see attached tree survey for tree specifications. Routine maintenance to provide light to surrounding gardens and/or for the health and safety of the trees. T1 removal to prevent further damage and collapse of front boundary wall.

Works to trees in a conservation area: T1 - XL Cherry Plum tree in the front garden adjacent to the pavement. Remove water shoots and lift canopy over pavement to 2.5m. T2 - XL Ash tree in rear garden, causing significant shading to neighbours garden and also as it boarders both gardens as it is on the boundary fence between 50 and 51 Grove Park, it is important to maintain the safety of this tree following its previous reduction. Lateral light supressed branches are elongated and need to be pollarded back to original reduction points. Reduce tree by 30% to previous points. T3 - XL London Plane tree on left hand side of rear of garden. Tree has significant Ivy growth into crown and also is shading gardens to the rear. Neighbours have requested the tree to be maintained. Pollard to historic points and remove Ivy to crown break, work to be completed in the winter. T4 - XL London Plane tree on right hand side of rear of garden. Tree has significant Ivy growth into crown of tree. Neighbours have requested the tree to be maintained. Pollard to historic points and remove Ivy to crown break in the winter. T5 - Small Variegated Acer. Planted in middle of rear of garden. Wrong location for a tree in the middle of the rear garden. Section fell to ground level and grub out the stump. T6 - Small Apple tree and rose growing again in the middle of the grass area towards the rear of the garden. Section fell to ground level and grub out the stump. G1 - Group of 2 Hazel trees on left hand side of garden. Trees have grown out from previous reduction points significantly and are now shading the garden. Reduce to previous points, to 3m to retain screening.

Hawthorn tree approximately 6m in height situated down the left hand side boundary of the front garden. Crown thin by 20% including removal of deadwood and water shoots together with lifting low branches over Privet hedge. Branches encroaching towards house to be trimmed back to convenient growth points to form more compact specimen. Height to be reduced by 1.5m.

T7 Crab Apple (x1) - Fell to ground level. T9 Laburnum - Fell to ground level. Replacement Planting proposed. REASON FOR FELLING TREES- T1, T2, T4, T5, T6, T7,T9: They are generally poor specimens in inappropriate locations. Trees to be removed which do not form part of the wider re-landscaping plan. This includes planting multiple new trees. Please see separate document(s) attached. T8 Plum (x1) - Remove the central small single previously cut stem. Thin remainder of crown by 20% through the removal of watershoots plus a small reduction of 1-2m via 'drop-crotch' method to retain form, cutting back to natural branch unions. Reason: General maintenance. To maintain the tree at a smaller size. Alteration to planning application [22/AP/3827] to change the replacement tree to Magnolia grandiflora 'Ferruginea'. To be placed at a suitable location along the right hand boundary.

Remove water shoots and dead wood, re-shape where necessary. T2: Lightly thin by 15% a Holm Oak tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the right hand side boundary of the front garden. Remove dead wood and re-shape where necessary. T3: Lift low branches as necessary on a Magnolia tree approximately 6m in height, situated in the centre of the front garden. T4: Lift low branches as necessary on a River Birch tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the front boundary of the front garden. T5: Remove three small Judas trees approximately 3m in height, situated midway down the rear garden on the left hand side boundary. T6: Remove dead wood from an Ash tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the right hand side boundary midway down the rear garden. Lift low branches over the adjacent shrub borders.

REVISED SPECIFICATION TO MATCH DE LICENCE T1. Two Maple trees approximately 5.5m in height, situated on the front boundary with Court Lane. Reduce in height by up to 1m and re-shape as necessary. T2. A Holly tree approximately 5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden. Reduce in height by up to 0.5m and re-shape as necessary. T3. A Purple Plum tree approximately 5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden. Reduce in height by up to 1m and generally tidied including the removal of water shoots. T4. Two Oak trees approximately 16m in height, situated close together on the right-hand side towards the bottom of the rear garden. Lightly thin by up to 15% including the removal of any dead wood. T5. A line of Beech and Hawthorn shrubs/trees approximately 5.5.m in height and situated along the bottom boundary with Dulwich Park. Reduce to previous pruning points to align with the top of the wire mesh fence.

Works to trees in a conservation area: 2 Beech trees, approximately 4m tall, situated on the bottom boundary of the rear garden, which was originally a hedge. Now formed into a tree-like structure which needs to be managed in order to bring back a formal screen. Height to be reduced by around 50%, also reducing overhang into next door garden (103 Turney Road), going back to boundary line. Face to be trimmed as necessary on both sides. (All work as advised by Garden Arborist, John Welton who will carry out the work for us.

A Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) and dead Poplar (Populus alba) up to 17m height located on the boundary with the railway viaduct. G2. A group of three Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) and a Robinia (Robinia pseudoacacia) located either side of a cycle trail slope adjacent to the railway viaduct. G3. A pair of Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) located either side of a cycle trial slope between G2 and G4. G4. A forest school area consisting of multiple dead Elm suckers (Ulmus procera) and Ash saplings (Fraxinus excelsior) together with Hawthorn (Crateagus monogyna), Elder (Sambucus nigra) and Buddleia. A multistem and a similar sized mature Sycamore are located nearer the embankment to the east and west of the group, with a large mature Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) in between. The canopy of the Ash supresses one large and a smaller stem diameter Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) located directly either side of its stem. Description of Approved Works Gl. Sycamore - Deadwood.
