Also remove dead branches to prevent them falling on the pavement and road. T12 is an Alder. It is diseased with premature leaf browning every year. More significantly the tree has a significant lean towards our house to get out of the shadow of a giant sycamore in neighbour's garden. This tree will be replaced by a specimen Acer or similar.
