We are requesting retrospective permission to cut down a lyme tree in the garden of our property at 20 Beech Mews, Davenport Park, SK2 6LB. The tree was cut back to several metres in height yesterday as it was badly damaged/rotten and was posing a significant safety risk, to ourselves and to others in the surrounding area. Treeworks undertook the work to cut back the tree yesterday. Many other people were involved in the decision to cut back the tree and/or were kept informed of the situation yesterday, as follows: - We took advice from Andy Beech (a retired arborist from Stockport Council) as he was able to come and see the tree himself yesterday morning and advised that there was no doubt that it needed to be cut down ASAP yesterday for safety reasons. - Peter Pollard from Stockport council was kept fully appraised of the situation yesterday as it unfolded. - Ted Lawson (conservation manager from Davenport Park) was also kept informed of things yesterday. - Simon from Stockport council also came to see the tree prior to it being cut down and he agreed that it posed a significant risk. Photographs of the tree were taken by ourselves and Treeworks and were widely shared with the above people yesterday. After being cut back, the tree was left standing at several metres high as it was no longer deemed to be a safety risk. TPO 60E.

(retrospective permission) As discussed with peter polard. Work carried out due to danger of limb failure T1 Oak removed to a safe point central upright split branch. Suspect caused by rotational wind movement. HAR/CA26, TPO 69W.

(T1) Large crack willow situated in protected deciduous woodland. Tree split and failed in high winds. Dismantled. Retrospective planning application- Local Planning Authority have been informed. TPO#: W1 - 301W

RETROSPECTIVE APPLICATION - LIME (T1) The tree was removed as it was unstable at the root plate due to the decay fungus ( Kretzschmaria deusta ). TPO#: G1 - 149W, TPO#: W1 - 287W.

Tree was removed as approved by Peter Pollard (28th Feb @ 11:45) - This is a retrospective application as requested by Mr Pollard. Details on the tree below: "As requested from visit. There are signs of disease in pine T19, large old wound to cambium layer from probable vehicle damage, evidence of rotting in heartwood. The tree is most southernly of the group of pines, crowded out by larger roadside specimens." TPO#: - 318E.

1 x Large Ash covered in ivy and signs of ash dieback to be felled to ground level. Email sent to council on 02.06.21 advising works need to commence before approval so this application will be retrospective - TPO#: T1 - 152W , TPO#: T2 - 152W , TPO#: T3 - 152W , TPO#: T4 - 152W , TPO#: T5 - 152W , TPO#: T4 - 27W

Dismantle x2 Robinia that are roadside to ground level. Trees are dangerous and require coming down. Emails sent to council about works, this application will be retrospective as works deemed dangerous - HAR/CA26 , TPO#: T37 - 132W , TPO#: T38 - 132W

Lime tree located between the drives at 10/12 St Lesmo Road. Planning permission already granted for tree work (application via Ben Bostock DC/077739) but tree was found to be badly diseased and dangerous. Tree was seen by council Arboriculturalist (name possibly somebody Pollard) and advice given to take the tree down asap. Tree Surgeon Peter Duckwork has now taken the tree down and I have been advised to apply for retrospective permission. As the stump is still in place and the space between the drives is very limited I do not think replanting would be possible but will take advice on this. TPO#: 410W.

RETROSPECTIVE TPO APP T1 - Prune Storm damaged Horse Chestnut located at the right side of the main drive according to the following specifications: . Remove the broken limb and prune the damaged stub back to the trunk. Reduce the limb to the right by approximately 2-2.5 metres to reduce risk of failure. Limb over the road reduce by 2 metres to reduce the risk of failure. REASON: To tidy storm damage and reduce risk of further failure T2 - Prune Horse Chestnut located at the side of the main entrance (2nd on the right) according to the following specifications: . Large curving limb over the road on the heavily hollowed out stump. Reduce the limb back to the hollow stub retaining this for wildlife habitat. REASON: To stop risk of failure T3 - Dismantle in sections the medium Multi stemmed Goat Willow and Sycamore group located at the top of the old stone wall area. Leave stumps as close to ground level as possible. REASON: To stop the wall being dislodged in the longer term. TPO 256E g1.
