T1 Oak tree cut back away from property by up to 2m and driveway, as dropping debris. Cut back away from roof as squirrels getting onto the roof. HAR/CA30, TPO 160W.

This application relates to 10 Church road, Mellor, Stockport SK6 5PR. The cottage and the layout of the garden behind the property is indicated on sketch plan1. None of the trees have a TPO but the cottage is in the Moor End conservation area. The application relates to tree no 3 on the plan. This is a cherry prunus, approximately 6 metres in height. We are proposing to remove this tree. The reasons for this are: - The tree is within 2 metres of the property and is of a significant size. We have been advised by a tree surgeon that the tree will in the future cause problems for the property. The tree's branches already significantly overhang the cottage roof and the leaves cause significant problems blocking guttering. We are concerned about the damage roots will cause the cottage. - The tree is in close proximity to several other trees as sown on the sketch plan. Most notably it is about 4 metres from a large maple (tree no 1), about 4 metres from a large beech (tree no 4) and about 5 metres from a very large sycamore (tree no 6). The four trees create a continuous canopy over the garden, as shown in photo 1. We propose to replace tree no 3 with a fruit tree who's size is more appropriate for the garden. HAR/CA22.

The tree lies within the garden of a house that lies perpendicular to my home. The tree is at their side of the fence edge to my garden. The branches are hanging over my back garden and are nearly touching the roof. The previous owners maintained the tree and removed over hanging branches. This was around 25 years ago. More recently as the problem has increased I have approached the owners who have refused to take any action. It has now become a serious cause for concern. It blocks all my natural light and prevents the natural enjoyment of the garden. I would like to take action to remove the offending branches and trim back to the boundary. I will pay for the work and will be using a qualified and experienced arborist. I believe its a sycamore tree. I have looked at the tpo map and there is no tree listed as being where the tree is on the tpo map, directly facing the back of my house No 6. HAR/CA15.

(T1) Beech tree- crown reduction 20% approx prune back branches by 2/3 metres. (T2)- Oak tree- lift several secondary branches away from garage roof by 2 metres. (T3) spruce & (T4) Oak- lift secondary branches away from highway to 5 metres. HAR/CA26.

T1. Ash - Sectional dismantle to as close to ground level as possible. T2. Triple stemmed Ash - Sectional dismantle to as close to ground level as possible. T3. 2x Smaller Ash - Sectional dismantle to as close to ground level as possible. T4. Ash - Sectional dismantle to as close to ground level as possible. T5. Ash - Sectional dismantle to as close to ground level as possible. T6. Beech - Remove the 12cm diameter limb which extends over the bridge. Remove secondary limbs to clear the adjacent roof by 2 metres. HAR/CA20.

1. Beech - Remove secondary lateral limbs to clear the roof by 2 metres. 2. Laurel - Reduce to approximately the height of the wall and prune hard back on the property side. (This shrub could also be removed if you preferred). HAR/CA14. 3. Laburnum - Fell to ground level and treat the resulting stump to prevent regrowth. 4. Large Lime - Remove a 1 metre section of Ivy at the base. Clear epicormics growth off the trunk and around the low forks. Remove the low limb to the left of the tree extending over the property. Shorten other limbs overhanging the garden by 1.5-2 metres. Install 2 new cables into the tree to minimize excessive movement at the points of the fork. 5. Leylandii & Holly (between the Lime and Beech) - Reduce to 2-2.25 metres from ground level. 6. Beech - Remove the 150mm diameter limb low in the crown that extends over the garden. Reduce the limb above this by approximately 2 metres. Remove epicormic growth off the trunk and around the main forks. Clip any low laterals to provide a balanced low canopy. 7. Holly (under the Beech) - Reduce in height to 3.5 metres from ground level. 8. Rhododendron - Fell to ground level and grind out the resulting stump to approximately 150mm below ground level. Backfill chippings into the resulting hole. 9. Beech - Remove a 1 metre section of Ivy at the base. Remove epicormic growth on the trunk. 10. Beech (in the adjacent property) - Clip overhanging branches back by 1.5 metres. 11. Mixed trees and shrubs - Cut all growth back to the line of the boundary. 12. Yew - Reduce in height by 2.5 metres and prune side limbs by 1-1.5 metres to shape.

1) Sycamore X5 saplings and self seaders along canal wall remove to preserve wall. 2) Sycamores X2 behind garage crown lift to 8 Meters to clear garage roof. 3) Sycamores X2 dead internally need to be felled to make safe. 4) Ash, Sycamore one of each behind garage next to wall fell to ground level. 5) Ash, Sycamore Various all trees to be dead wooded to make safe. 6) Ivy around all various trees to be severed and removed. T1 Section fell large Conifer at the front as it has outgrown its location and it is damaging the driveway T2 Pine tree far to close the property causing damage to roof and gutters, with excessive needle loss, also lifting the garden path with roots causing damage and a trip hazard. HAR/CA30.
