Oak tree on the boundary . Our neighbour( 52 Motcombe Road) has asked for this application to fell the tree. Neighbour has complained that the root is causing lifting of one slab and cracking of another slab on a drive leading up to a stand alone detached garage. There is no damage to the main drive or the foundation of the garage. Their concern is for damage that may occur in the future. They have provided a report which suggests either felling of the tree or root reduction by trimming ( we have spoken to several tree surgeons who have refused to do any work on the roots as this could affect the future stability of the tree).
