Rear Garden G1 Oak tree line located on the rear boundary consisting of 5 trees. Scope of Work The Westerly side of the tree line is growing towards the property and covering 90% of the outside space and approximately 2m from the building line. G1 is significantly proud of the continuing tree line in the adjacent gardens. I advise raising the canopy to 5m from ground level by removing the lowest limbs from where they originate. To then reduce the remaining mid crown by up to 2m from the branch tips back to suitable growth points ensuring suitable foliage remains to support each limb.

The subject of this application is the TPO scots pine (ref TPO/24/90) located: 2.2m from the public pavement forming the front boundary of the property; 1.8m from the large TPO oak to its west; and 9m from the large TPO beech to its east (see attached sketch). The scots pine is dying and potentially DANGEROUS. At least one large bough has previously fallen from its top in strong winds. The proposed work is to make the tree safe by removing the remaining boughs at the top and cutting the trunk down to approx 1m of ground level. Given the large size of the nearby mature oak and beech TPO trees, we are not proposing to plant a replacement for the scots pine.

T001 Sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa). The overall condition of T001 is good with minor deadwood throughout. The tree has been crown lifted in the past. Recommendations To remove the deadwood and remove epicormic growth up to crown break, which is approximately 4m T002 Red Oak (Quercus rubra) is a suppressed tree from the neighbouring tree T001. T002 is growing in conflict with T001. The stem of T002 is abnormal with a small canopy. Recommendations To remove the tree. T003 Sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa): Large tree growing on boundary with abnormal stem taper and with a canopy dominance over neighbouring property garden. The crown has been raised in the past, and epicormic growth has now formed on the trunk. Recommendations Remove epicormic growth on trunk to first scaffolds at 3m. T004 Red Oak (Quercus rubra) has a significant lean over the neighbouring boundary. The canopy dominance is also in direction of the lean. Minor soil heave is on the tensile side of root plate. T004 suppressed tree causing poor form. Recommendations Remove tree

3 Ash trees on boundary fence of front footpath to be section felled and stumps ground out

T1- Sycamore, H 10m, S 8m. Uneven canopy due to historically pruned away from street light. Recommend a 20% crown reduction of the whole canopy to rebalance canopy, cutting branches by up to 2m from tips. Reduction on 10m height and 8m spread will result in 8m height and 6.5m spread post works. T3- Whitebeam- Crown lift to 3m above ground level to give clearance to large vehicles. T4- Cherry, Crown lift to 3m above ground level to give clearance for pedestrians. T5- Cherry, H11m S6m. Crown reduction of whole canopy cutting branches back by up to 3m from tips to previous cut points to clear the tree away from the neighboring tree. Reducing height to 6m and spread to 4m. T6- Walnut, H10m S8m- Branches touching building blocking street light. Recommend crown reduction of the whole canopy, cutting branches by up to 2.5m from tips. Reducing height to 6m and spread to 6m. T11- Whitebeam- Crown lift to 3m from ground level to make clearance for the path and parked cars. T13-Oak H9m S9m, Tree growing from railway and over boundary fence. Branches touching the building. Recommend a crown reduction away from the building, cutting branches by up to 1.5m from tips, reducing the spread of the tree to 7m. T14 Oak, Lower branches touching the building and over hanging road. Crown lift to 5m from ground level to clear away from garages and large vehicles.

Proposed removal of 2 trees close to our rear patio doors - 1 x Yew and 1 x Holly. The size of the trees have got a little out of control, with large amounts of debris / fallen leaves now falling on our living area. The trees grow inbetween 2 original large mature Scots Pine trees, which will not be touched. In addition to this, we have a large mature oak tree in a corner boundary, that while growing towards the light, is also growing predominantly over our garage/extension roof. We would like to ask for permission for a tree surgeon to take some of the weight out of the extremities of this tree, in addition to some heavy branches that are growing over our neighbour's boundary into No 9 Ferniehurst. We propose to complete vegetation clearance of Rhododendron shrub on the Western boundary of the nearby cottage. We would like to clear a 3 metre strip of Rhododendron. There will be no work to any surrounding trees within the woodland specified within the TPO area. Woodchip will be laid into various seperate piles rather than spread evenly as per instruction from Arboricultural Officer previously.

When looking at the property from the road, Oak 1 is a large American Oak tree which is situated to the right boundary of the property, branches extend over to our neighbour (number 4 Carlinwark Drive). This tree has a number of dead branches as shown in the Sept 22 photos, I'd like these to be removed as we do get a number of branches falling on the cars on the driveway. I would then like a crown reduction back to the original growth points e.g. where it had been reduced before which would be up to 2 metres. Some of the tree branches have now grown over the property. When looking at the property from the road, Beech 1 is a large Beech tree which is situated on the front boundary of our property, right in the middle and therefore branches extend over the road. This tree hasn't has any work completed on it for a very long time and would therefore like a crown reduction of up to 2 metres (more of it would be allowed), again removing any dead branches which there are a couple.

Oak T2 - located within property boundary. To prune the tree, remove any dead wood, crossing branches or damaged limbs as needed. To carry out crown thinning and reduction to old points, and cleaning off epicormic growth. Reducing and reshaping of the crown. This is routinely done, in regular intervals, as advised by the Tree Surgeon to keep the tree healthy.
