The proposal is to extend the rear of the property with a single storey extension extruding 2m from the existing building line, across the width of the property. The single storey extension is proposed to be 2m in depth and spanning the width of the northern elevation, excluding the garage area. To allow this development to proceed, there will not be a requirement to remove any trees. The project is to be built under the Certificate of Lawfulness (Permitted development) and the supporting report is to demonstrate how this can be achieved whilst maintaining the tree root system and minimizing the impact during construction.

Oak tree at rear of property 21 Calshot Way: The Oak tree crown requires pruning back to previously pruned points to also maintain healthy growth of tree (this is approximately 2m from height and width). This is also in keeping with an existing approved planning application for neighbouring trees. The tree has overgrown and is covering majority of our private garden. This is causing a host of problems including falling branches and bird poo covering our entire patio area where our young children play and eat. This presents a health and safety concern as backed up by hse website; https://www.hse.gov.uk/construction/healthrisks/hazardous-substances/harmful-micro-organisms/other-diseases.htm The neighbouring trees (numbers 11, 13, 15, 19 Calshot Way) have recently received approval for tree pruning and unfortunately our property's tree was accidentally missed off the original application but sits on the same line of trees as those listed above.
