Removal of laurel bush - There is a large laurel bush growing at the side of our property on our boundary with 173 Cheylesmore Drive. This is an area which consists of a narrow pathway between the two properties with access to the garden of 173 and a small area of land on our side of the fence. The bush has grown extremely tall and thick and blocks light to the upper windows of 173. It is also pushing their fence over and they have asked for it to be removed. I am concerned that the proximity of such a large trunk right against our foundations may also not be sensible if it is allowed to grow any larger. There is already a crack in this wall. The laurel doesn't really serve any useful purpose and is far too big for the area available. I think that a more appropriately sized shrub or small tree could be planted here to provide good green cover between us and our neighbours without being so large and out of control and would welcome suggestions for something suitable which would be good for wildlife.

A large Horse Chestnut is diseased and leaning towards the M3 motorway . This is located near to the boundary fence next to a Wellingtonia. The horse chestnut is showing signs of bleeding (black liquid oozing from the bark). It is in our opinion that it should be removed. You may think otherwise as you are the expert. We would like to replant in the same area with another British native or a poplar which are found in the area.

Crown thinning by 25% To reduce overhang to neighboring property to prevent branches touching and causing damage to garage roofs and fences. 1 Dawsmere Close Camberley Surrey GU15 1SH

A sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa) needs removing due to the suspected presence of Honey fungus (see photo attached), the sketch plan shows its rough location at the site named. A member of the local tree team has been out to have a look and thinks the fruiting bodies could be honey fungus. It is difficult to see it in the sketch due to it being under the canopy of another very large sweet chestnut which also has honey fungus; this was removed following the permission being granted (this work has happened January 2021 at site 17 Inglewood ave). The proposed work for the site 1 Dawsmere close is a sectional fell due to proximity of houses/fences, followed by stump grinding. I assume the replant requirements will be the same as the neighbors at 17 Inglewood ave meaning they will have to replant: Golden Leaved Elm (Ulmus carpinifolia Werdei Aurea) Chinese Red Birch (Betula albosinensis Fascination) Paperbark Maple (Acer griseum) Upright Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus Fastigiata) Upright Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus Frans Fontaine) The size of the replant will need confirming.

Trees Fence
TWA/21/0024 | Tree Works Application

37 Goldney Road Camberley Surrey GU15 1DW

Please refer to our advisors report. The proposal is to retain the existing chestnut pail fence and construct a new fence with a wooden post and panel fence at 2m tall. This will be erected as close as possible to the existing boundary fence. The specification provided by the client is a contemporary style screening will be fitted along the existing rear boundary fence line. To permit the development to proceed, it will be necessary to remove some stems of H5, a privet hedge, to which the largest stem diameter was recorded at 85mm. Some minor trees below 75mm in stem diameter were on the site but not assessed. These may need to be removed as part of the development programme - none of which should have any detrimental effect. All other trees are to be retained.
