G1 - small group of conifer trees (don't think are protected) fell and grind. trees are unsightly and at the entrance to the large property, felling and grinding these small conifers to make way for better landscaping

Removal of Cypress Trees (Marked on sketch as T1 - Trees) Fell to ground Due to a ground level change with my neighbour (6 Eliot Close) where the trees are situated, my ground level is higher, and due to the previous owners poor landscaping, damage has been caused to the existing fence and decking area, which now need to be replaced and maintained. I propose to remove the existing trees which provide little in the way of amenity and its loss will not adversely impact on the character or amenity of the area. Once the repairs have been undertaken, I will seek advice for suitable replacement, quantity, species, position and size.

T35, as per the report, has flush cut wounds that have caused a decay column, compromising structural strength below the main crown break The climbing inspection and report has been done due to the request following tree surgeons concerns To reduce tree canopy by 3 metres in order to reduce oscillation load on the decay column and to manage the tree for the landscape This reduction work would leave a canopy of approx 17 metres in height

Scotts Pine - defined as T2 in Paul Watts - ARBORICULTURAL ASSESSMENT REPORT Remove entirely to ground level and replace with a minimum large standard fastigiate form tree species. The removal of this one tree would have an insignificant impact on the landscape profile of the location and will allow for the start of a phased removal and replacement programme to ensure the maintenance of visual amenity for the long term. It is likely a Planning Inspector would concur with this view should an appeal be required.

T1: leylandii: remove including stump, tree is too large for space it is in and client wishes to re landscape garden. T2: silver birch: remove including stump: tree is a poor specimen and will cause problems in future due to falling over. T3: Italian cypress: remove including stump. tree is too big for area it is in and will be in the way of garden re landscape. T4:leylandii: remove including stump, tree is growing too close to summer house. T5: goat willow: reduce by 2.5m to suitable growth points to maintain as a manageable tree.
