There is a Lleylandi tree that we would like to have felled due to excessive shading and safety concerns provided by our surveyor. We are in the process of purchasing the house and want to understand the feasibility to fell the tree. The tree is in the the top left of the garden as you look at the back door of the property.

Sweet Chestnut tree that is dead and in danger of collapsing on to the roof of our house, or possibly on to the road alongside. Paul Searle (arborist) has visited, confirmed that is dead, and that it needs to be felled.

1. Apple Tree at side of house ??? Re-pollard to previous points. 2. Bay Tree ??? Reduce in height by approx. 50% and trim face to tidy. 3. Choisya ??? Reduce and reshape with a light all over trim. 4. Japanese Maple ??? Crown lift to just above gutter height on the conservatory.

T1 - Oak tree - Reduce the branches on the house side of the tree by 2-2.5m. Remove lower branch over the pavement to achieve statutory height. T2 - Oak tree - Two points of decay on opposite sides of the trunk, compromising the structural integrity of the trunk to support the crown. Reduce the height of the crown by 2.5-3m to reduce the height to 18m from 21m, and to reduce the spread of the crown by 2.5-3m to 12m from 15m.

T1-Beech This is a spectacularly large and beautiful TPO'd tree rooted in the next door garden which dominates the garden of number 41 Holly hedge Road. It measures circa 40m in height, with a DBH of 80 cms. The crown breadth is over 20 metres and completely overshadows the garden, leaving less than 1/8 th of the garden in sunlight. Whilst beech trees can be sensitive to pruning, it is proposed to only prune back the branches which overhang the section of garden nearest the house ie on the south and east side by circa 15% which should not imbalance the tree. This request is to reduce overhanging branches by circa 1.5 metres (as shown in the photographs) with cuts to the branches no more than 5.5cms diameter.
