Listed Building Consent relevant to the change of use of lower ground floor of the post office and former old Sorting office accommodation to form 4no. dwellings and 1no. apartment. Works to include: demolition of modern extension to the rear; erection of a replacement extension to the rear; removal of extract flue to rear elevation; alterations to external window/door openings on to the existing rear private courtyard from the Lower Ground floor to form entrances to the proposed residential units; the removal and addition of numerous internal walls to form the layouts of the residential units as per the submitted plans; and the addition of a new floor within proposed Houses 1 and 2.

Demolition of single-storey side porch, erection of rear, single-storey extension with a pitched roof featuring four Velux roof windows (two per pitch). Bi-fold sliding doors to the side elevation and a feature full height glazed window to the rear elevation of the extension. Erection of a new masonry wall 1.7m high at the rear boundary to number 322 Birch Lane, and erection of a new masonry boundary walls 1.2m high to the front boundary increasing to 1.7m high at the rear boundary to number 318 Birch Lane. Replacement of a side North facing elevation first-floor bathroom window with glass blocks.

Alteration to existing dormer roof extension to front elevation and alteration/extension to existing dormers and extension to existing raised terrace balcony to rear to rear of property, conversion of existing garage to habitable room and erection of single storey garage to front of property. Render and cladding to front, side and rear of property.
