This former residential care home has now come back under the control and management of Hertfordshire County Council and unfortunately since the property has become vacant there have been a number of attempted break-ins and acts of vandalism. Therefore Herts CC are to install a number security cameras that will be monitored remotely. For this to be affective a certain amount of vegetation needs to be cut back/removed so that 360 vision can be gained throughout the site. Not all of Margaret house falls within the conservation area. I have highlighted in yellow (within the recommended works document) the trees that do. Also included within this document is the proposed works to some small hedges/shrubs that are regularly maintained and are under 2 meters in height but still need to be removed to allow full coverage by security cameras.
