Consisting of 2x Mature Sycamore shown as T1 & T2, located close to the boundary line, with considerable overhang to property and garden area of no.64. Reduce overhanging laterals to reduce overextended limbs of Sycamore tree by 4.5M. Remove or carry our end-weight reduction to lower limbs in close proximity to house roof line, to provide suitable crown clearance from roofline of property block. To alleviate crown encroachment and light filter issues to property and garden, while reducing end weight to crown, reducing risk of limb failure to over extended limbs. Fell X1 Self-set Sycamore T3, located close to fence boundary. height approx 6/7m Fell and remove due to low value and poor siting growing under established trees. Further crown growth will likely cause continual conflict to adj property and boundary.

URGENT 5 DAY APPLICATION Please refer to document provide: Margaret House - recommended works. This former residential care home has now come back under the control and management of Hertfordshire County Council and unfortunately since the property has become vacant there have been a number of attempted break-ins and acts of vandalism. Therefore Herts CC are to install a number security cameras that will be monitored remotely. For this to be affective a certain amount of vegetation needs to be cut back/removed so that 360 vision can be gained throughout the site. Not all of Margaret house falls within the conservation area. I have highlighted in yellow (within the recommended works document) the trees that do. Also included within this document is the proposed works to some small hedges/shrubs that are regularly maintained and are under 2 meters in height but still need to be removed to allow full coverage by security cameras. We currently have a tree just over our boundary line on the canal side, to which we have been made aware by one of the house boats is far too overgrown & tall. If this tree falls it could cause serious damage to the house boats in the nearby area, or worse.

Work required : All round reduction of 3 metres to balance the tree and removal of deadwood and removal of epicormic growth up to lower branches and removal of a hanging broken branch Reason: continued maintenance and to reduce wind loading and sail area of the tree as large branches break and fall in the wind.
