Margaret House Residential Home Parsonage Close Abbots Langley Hertfordshire WD5 0BQ
URGENT 5 DAY APPLICATION Please refer to document provide: Margaret House - recommended works. This former residential care home has now come back under the control and management of Hertfordshire County Council and unfortunately since the property has become vacant there have been a number of attempted break-ins and acts of vandalism. Therefore Herts CC are to install a number security cameras that will be monitored remotely. For this to be affective a certain amount of vegetation needs to be cut back/removed so that 360 vision can be gained throughout the site. Not all of Margaret house falls within the conservation area. I have highlighted in yellow (within the recommended works document) the trees that do. Also included within this document is the proposed works to some small hedges/shrubs that are regularly maintained and are under 2 meters in height but still need to be removed to allow full coverage by security cameras. I assume these do not come under Conservation area protection.

Approximately 37 x Lombardi Poplar (standing approximately 20m tall), located in group A1. All were reduced approximately 5-7 years ago to approximately 65% of present height.
