Two trees both in my rear garden: Plan 1. Cherry tree. Decay in lower trunk. The tree has become tall, spindly and in poor condition. It represents a danger of collapse to both my shed and my neighbour's. We have already suffered a substantial branch falling on my shed. Proposed work: removal of tree. Plan 2. Ash. Whilst carrying out other work, it became clear there is decay to two out of the three stems probably resulting from works carried out perhaps some 20 or 30 years ago, by the previous owner. Many substantial branches have been shed, representing a danger to my grandchildren who play in this area. Proposed work to re-pollard all three stems to eliminate decayed timber and maintain shape and balance. The proposal is for crown thinning by up to 20% and crown height & lateral reduction by up to 2 metres, ensuring an aesthetic shape is maintained. Both trees are towards the rear of the garden.

T1 - Norway Maple (Acer platanoides) Approx Height - 14m Location - neighbours tree, overhangs clients Rear garden Rear boundary Work required- remove x 3 lowest branches which overhangs clients garden, x 2 right hand side of tree overhangs clients raised vegetables beds, x1 left hand side of tree overhangs clients shed, reduce back the remaining side (side not the height) of tree which overhangs clients garden by removing approximately 1.5-2m Reason - Client concerned they are unsafe and they are encroaching into his garden.

Please consider my request for the removal of a self-seeded Sycamore tree and the reduction in height by 3m and 2m from the sides of three other trees (2xAsh, 1xSycamore), all grouped together, at the end of my garden. The reasons are as follows: The self-seeded Sycamore tree (first on the right as shown in the picture) and as shown on sketch plans A and B (marked as tree 1)- the roots are causing damage to the decking area which is creating an uneven surface which is dangerous to walk on and it obstructs access to my shed. Additionally the tree is causing damage to the fence (photo attached). The four trees (all shown in sketch plans A and B, marked 1 - 4) in a cluster are blocking a significant amount of light to my garden. A similar self seeded sycamore was removed from my neighbours garden a few years ago (photograph attached with the tree I am requesting to remove in the background).

T1 - Yew - Reduce tree by 3.5 - 4 metres, and reduce retained lateral limbs to balance canopy (1.5-2.5 metres) to maintain at a reasonable size for location T2 - Cypress - Large twin stem conifer by corner of shed - remove thin upright stem between two main stems (leave the stem close to shed for now) and crown raise the canopy by 2 metres to allow more light underneath T3 - Cypress - Multi stem conifer, crown raise to match twin stem conifer in front (1-1.5 metres) T4 - Cypress - To left of shed, reduce canopy height by a third (1.5-2.5 metres), to allow more light to surrounding trees and garden T5 - Prunus - Rear boundary - dismantle and remove twin stem prunus leaning on fence over neighbours, poor form and causing damage to fence T6 - Yew - Remove two or three low select branches, and check and remove if necessary any small branches that are significantly fouling phone line, to clear services and left canopy away from cars

Laurel - T6 - remove. Growing too close to shed (10 - 12 m tall) Lawson Cypress - T5 - to be removed (10 - 12 m tall) Holly Tree - T4 -to be removed (4 - 5 m tall) All these tree are causing considerable shading over the lawn. Causing grass to die and moss to take over.

G1 - Cypress (x Cupressus leylandii) Approx Height - 18m. Approx Crown Spread Diameter - 6m Location - Rear garden, Rear boundary Work required- Reduce height of row by around 6m to form a more consistent level row. trim clients side by approx 0.5m as best possible over vegetation areas only. (Up to corner of shed) Reason - As per customers instructions , to reduce height and tidy G2 - 2x Cypress (x Cupressus leylandii) Approx Height - 17m. Approx Crown Spread Diameter - 6m Location - Front garden, Left hand boundary Work required-To clear phone lines by a minimum of (0.5m) Reason - to prevent any potential damage to phone lines

Reduce the height and canopy of the trees by 2-3m as shown on the plan labelled T12 on the plan recently sent to us. The trees are very tall and need to be reduced to reduce the wind load on them. Branches also need to be reduced as they hang over the neighbours gardens and out houses. Crown Thinning - 20-30% Crown Lifting - 2-3 meters - raise above sheds Crown Reduction - 2-3 meters - reduce height

G1 - 4x groups of Hazel (Corylus avellana) - Rear garden, Approx Height - 7m. Approx Crown Spread Diameter - 6m Service - Crown Reduction Work required- Reduce by around 3m height and 1m spread. Remove 1 x Branch growing over lawn area (left hand tree with back to house, see photos) back to main stem (approx 4m length). Prune 4x smaller diameter branches on right hand tree (with back to house) that are growing over the neighbours shed, back to the fence line (approx 1.5m length) Reason - As part of regular cyclical maintenance, to keep at a manageable size for the space and reduce encroachment/debris over adjacent gardens.
