T1- Reduce uneven crown of Oak by 4-6m. Remove major deadwood (>50mm). Significantly unbalanced crown due to removal of adjacent infected tree and a suitable reduction will correct this and improve health, stability and aesthetics. Both trees have large codominant stems with included union and a reduction would reduce weight of the crown and wind sail effect. Approx Spread - 6m Work required- Fell as close to tree's current ground level as possible and leave the stump in the ground Reason - As per customers wishes, to allow more light to garden and adjacent existing planting. T2 - Cedar (Cedrus atlantica) - Rear garden, Left hand boundary Approx Height - 17m Work required- Crown Thinning - Remove 5 x lowest branches to source and thin remaining crown by removing no more than 20% of the live foliage. Reason - to give clearance to garden and allow more light to property

Oak (T1) - Crown pruning of 2 - 3 m in order to maintain balance of the tree & thinning. This tree also requires pruning away from the neighbours' boundary as acorns are poisoning wildlife in Mr Steed's pond. This tree is also interfering with growth of the adjacent cherry tree. Beech (T2) - Remove to ground level as this tree creates excessive shading within the garden & therefore impacts the growth of other trees & plants. This tree also blocks the client's view of other mature trees within the garden & has shallow roots. Silver Birch (T3) - Remove to ground level due to client's concerns of tree's leaning - neighbour's tree came down during a storm (which was planted at the same time). If this tree was to fall in the direction it leans, then it would fall into bedrooms of the property. This is a great concern to the applicant. The applicant has also advised this tree shows signs of disease, as shown in supporting photos.

Establish remaining 4x trees as a pollard at 6m from ground level. Reason - To remove poorly formed specimens or those with defects from the group, giving retained trees more space, reducing maintenance requirements and allowing more light to property.
