The proposed development consists of the installation of approximately 97 battery units with a capacity of 150MW, as well as other ancillary equipment, on land within the boundary of the decommissioned Ferrybridge Power Station site. The proposed development consists of the installation of approximately 97 battery units with a capacity of 150MW on land within the decommissioned Ferrybridge Power Station site. Other ancillary infrastructure will also be required to be installed, including one transformer and an invertor unit for each battery bank. The Site will be fenced with a 2.4m high palisade security fence and Closed Circuit Television security cameras will also be installed. The battery units will be connected via underground cabling to the National Grid substation directly north of the Site.
