APPLICATION FOR WORKS TO TREES IN CONSERVATION AREA T1, Red Horse Chestnut- Tip-reduce branches over roof of building by between 1-1.5m (i.e. back from 5m to 3.5m). Sever and remove ivy up to 2m on main trunk. T2, Lawson Cypress- Fell. T3, Lawson Cypress- Fell. T5, Turkey Oak- Tip-reduce the branches rubbing against the top of the listed wall by no more than 1.2m. Final pruning cuts not to exceed 35mm diameter. This should not require any more than 3-4 cuts in total. T6, Deodar Cedar- Remove all deadwood, broken, damaged, crossing, and diseased branches, and all other debris (i.e. crown clean). Lightly tip-reduce the longer side branches on south side (where they overhang the private garden), by between 0.5-1.5m. Sever and remove ivy to above the main fork (4m). T7, Deodar Cedar- Tip-reduce lateral branches by 1.5m where over neighbouring gardens. Sever and remove climber. T8, Small-leafed Lime- Sever and remove ivy to above main fork and remove basal shoots. T12, Common Lime- Reduce the overall height by 4-5m. Remove all deadwood over 50mm diameter and/or 1.5m long and mistletoe where it is over the footpath. Remove epicormic growth. T13, Common Lime- Reduce the overall height by 4-5m. Remove all deadwood over 50mm diameter and/or 1.5m long and mistletoe where it is over the footpath. Remove epicormic growth. T14, Small-leafed Lime- Replace old cable restraints using 7T hollow cable (elastic 20%) and matching 7T bracing belts (recommend Gefa from Treeworker.com). Ensure new cable restraints are 2.5-3m higher that the existing ones. Remove deadwood over 50mm diameter and/or 1.5m long and mistletoe where over footpath. T15, Yew- Prune small diameter secondary branches to ensure 1m clearance from the adjacent building and lift up over the footpath to ensure 2.5m height clearance. Ensure canopy spread on the whole southern and south-eastern sides are balanced to match the above pruning. Pruning cuts not to exceed 35mm diameter. Cut the adjacent elder right back to the fence line. T16, Yew- Cut back the noted foliage with hedge-cutters and secateurs to c150mm beyond (east) the line of the path edge and ensuring 2m height clearance over the path. Final pruning cuts not to exceed 35mm diameter. T17- Lebanon Cedar- Tip-reduce the noted branches by 1m. Final pruning cuts not to exceed 50mm diameter. G9, 4x Common Lime- Sever and remove ivy to leave a 400mm wide, clear gap all around the stem Remove basal epicormic shoots up to 25mm diameter. Remove major deadwood\crown clean. G10, 6x Common Lime- Re-pollard.
