06/00015/TPO (2-2-27) (T23) Fell tree due to signs of disease, proximity to house and drive being torn apart.

T1 - Oak - Fell tree leaving stump as close to ground level as practicable. This tree is located in rear garden of 34 Coppice Road. The house has been extended at some point in the past and the gable end is now located around 2m away from trunk, in turn the canopy is heavily hanging over roof of property interfering with tiles gutters and window. The new home owner is concerned about the amount of deadwood falling from canopy and landing on roof and rear patio, due to their being small children in property this issue is of great concern. Home owner is also concerned about the possibility of subsidence due to proximity to property footings, the building process will have damaged the root plate T2 - Sweet Chestnut - Fell tree leaving stump as close to ground level as practicable. This tree is located at the side of 34 Coppice Road within rear garden. This tree is heavily suppressed on the back side and the majority of growth hangs over the road. Customer has asked for the tree to possibly be cut back / crown lifted over road to allow room for bin lorry's / fire engines. Due to the poor form of tree and heavy lean i feel the tree will not be suited for long term retention. Customer is willing to re plant a more suited species away from property and road also.

06/00251/TPO Crown raise trees along the border with Beckminster House to 3m above ground.

Crown lift and crown reduction required for the following two trees: T1, Drive - horse chestnut tree. Works are required for the safety of our family members, individuals walking by on the pavement, and drivers on the road. Low branches can obstruct the pathway and conkers falling from the tree can cause harm. T2, Garden - horse chestnut tree. Works are required due to excessive shading, and to protect the safety of our family members as conkers can fall upon those present in the garden. We have young children, and need to protect their wellbeing whilst they play in our home garden.

We have taken the advice of a tree surgeon, Mr Tony Woods of Finchfield Trees, prior to this application. We have 2 trees that require cutting back, both of which are located in the back garden of our property. 1 - Blue Cedar - This is within 6 metres of the house and is now dominating the garden. We would like to trim the crown of the tree and reduce this by 15-20%. 2 - Conifer - This is within 3 metres of the house and is approximately 18 metres tall. We would like to reduce the height by 5-7 metres.

06/00467/TPO (T215) - Pine - remove lowest branch on house side of tree (descending limb over driveway), remove deadwood and removed dead branch (needle blight). remaining works specified on application form do not require permission as trees not protected.

T1 - Fell - Western Red Cedar - Reasons: Large tree on front garden boundary with neighbouring property. The tree has previously had a large side stem removed, possibly due to storm damage, there are other historic wounds on the trunk. The roots are causing severe cracking of the tarmac driveway and have broken through the surface in several locations. The property owner also pointed out cracking on the wall and floor of the porch. The Marble front doorstep is cracked and there is seasonal movement in the doorframe. During summer they were unable to open the front door and the step crack opened up, in winter the crack shrank back and the door was freed. This indicates a possible subsidence issue, which will be exacerbated by the water uptake from a large tree within the influencing distance of the house. The expected influencing distance for a mature tree of this species is 20m, the tree is located 6.5m from the property and area of damage.

car park area t1 Holm oak trimmed around cables and over car park area itself by around 1.5 metres and give a 1 metre clearance around overhead lines and to include ivy removal at base, t2 cedar tree removal of broken branch around 8 metres high over car park area to include ivy removal on trunk, in back garden t5 beech tree pruned away from building by 2 metres and lifting of lower branches to leave start of crown at 5.5 to 6.5 metres high to include road side too. T3,T4 silver birch trees behind the coach house trimmed back to clear building roof by 2.5 to 3 metres and removal of all waste created by us by woodchipping

06/00442/TPO (T1) - Oak 618 - raise canopy to approx. 3-3.5 metres; reduce & reshape by approx. 2-3 metres. Reasons: Residents have advised managing agents that some of the tree branches are touching the overhead telephone lines; the tree is blocking light to the house nearest the tree and some of the branches are overhanging the public footpath and the driveway of the site and therefore they would like to ensure none fall on any passers-by.

06/00105/TPO (W11) - T1 - Swedish Whitebeam (next to garage of 21 Dippons Mill Close) - Crown reduce by up to 1 metres to reshape and balance. Crown lift to 2.5 metres. Reason: to provide appropriate clearance above garage and over garden. T2 - Ash (nearest 21 Dippons Mill Road) - Reduce height by up to 3 metres and reduce overhang over garden / house of 21 Dippons Mill Close by no more than 2 metres. T3 - Ash - Crown reduce branch overhanging road back to appropriate pruning point at the boundary between the lawned area and the pavement. Reduce by no more than 2 metres in height. Beech (Rear garden of 21 Dippons Mill Close) - Prune branches growing 'in front' of holly tree by 2.5 metres back to appropriate pruning points in accordance with BS 3998.
