1. (TB2) twin-stemmed (from ground level) beech tree - Removal of one bough from the one stem. largely on my neighbour's side of our boundary fence but with some of the trunk in my garden, and one stem leaning westwards towards my house and thus almost completely overhanging my garden. After taking advice from a tree surgeon I would like to remove one bough from the one stem, reducing the weight over my garden. Please be aware that my house is 10 years old and so far my property has been damaged three times by beech trees blown over by prevailing SW winds. Several years ago a mature tree fell over from the garden of 4 Elvetham Close causing significant damage to the roof of my house. In February 2022 two mature beech trees growing next to each other fell from the garden of Chase House, causing significant damage to my garden, fences and outdoor furniture and more minor damage to the house. I, and my wife in particular, are now concerned about the stability of any trees that are within striking distance of our house, lean our way, and share root balls with other trees. In this respect TB2 is our main concern. We would like to keep such trees pruned and stable. Please also note that my answer the question about tree ownership relates to TB2 only - TSC1 is mine.

T1. Mixed species-Reduce encroachment over road to boundary line up to Cypress hedge. Remove self-set Sycamore from behind garage.Various species ranging from 6-8 metres tall. Cypress hedge-Reduce height of hedge by up to 2 metres to previous points and trim both sides 7-metre-tall hedge down to 5 metres tall T3. Lime x 2 - Remove major deadwood greater than 20mm diameter and raise crown to provide 6 metres clearance from ground level 18x12m trees works to clear garage roof and lift over road T5. Bay - Reduce height 2 metres and trim garage side 8x5m down to 6x4m encroaching on garage T6. Beech - Crown Reduction. Reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 2 metres. All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected regrowth 14x8m down to 12x6m works to maintain size due to location on top of wall T8. Field Maple x 2 -Remove major deadwood greater than 20mm diameter and raise crown to provide 6 metres clearance from ground level, sever Ivy at base 15x10m trees lifting works over access drive and road T9. Mixed species - Reduce / trim all over to previous points (all to be varied in height) and remove dead trees from within Various ranging from 7-9 metres tall. Works to maintain size due to location on top of wall T10. Hornbeam x 2 and Beech - Crown Reduction. Reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 2 metres. All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected regrowth 18x12 down to 16x10m to allow light into the garden T11. Dead Elms - Fell to as close to ground level as possible 6m tall dead Tree T13. Apple - Prune by up to 2 metres 7x6m down to 5x4m pruning / maintenance works T14. Mixed species rear boundary-Reduce encroachment towards garden by up to 1 metre 8x7m down to 8x6m encroaching on house.

T3 Laurel group rear LHS Remove Elder and dead stem within and shape to tidy by removing up to half a metre in height 4x1m and reduce laurel group 4x1.5m down to 3.5x1m. to allow light in to rear of property. T4 Sycamore rear garden Crown Lift to provide 5 metres clearance from ground level 18x9m tree. To allow light into garden and open up view from the house. T5 Yews and Hazel rear garden LHS Reduce encroachment towards boundary line by up to 2 metres. Yew behind shed reduce encroachment to edge of shed and shape also approximately 2 metre off 7x5m down to 7x3m To allow light on to bed beneath and open up view of the whole garden from the house. T6 Silver Birch Crown Lift to provide 5 metres clearance from ground level 14x8m tree, To open up view from the house. T7 Hawthorn and plum Crown Reduction - Reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 1 metre. All pruning cuts shall be made to suitable secondary growth points and shall maintain a stable platform for the expected regrowth 4x4m down to 3x3m Growing close to listed wall, works to prevent further repairs to wall. T8 Apple Crown Reduction - Reducing the height of the tree by up to 1 metres and lateral spread by 2 metres. Neighbouring Borough Consultation for Demolition of existing (non-heritage) buildings and construction of a part 2 / part 3 storey building including refurbishment of the retained listed buildings providing a six form entry Secondary School and Sixth Form, including a two storey detached sports hall and Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), provision of a modified pedestrian entrance from Bexley Road including opening into the existing wall, playing fields, car parking, boundary treatment and landscaping including works to protected trees and associated works.
